Pag-IBIG Funds and MP2 Savings

If you are seeking alternative avenues for passive income to secure your and your loved ones' future, look no further. Thanks to the government's ongoing initiatives, we have the Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings program. The Home Development Mutual Fund, commonly known as Pag-IBIG Fund, is renowned for offering affordable housing loans to its members. Considering the agency's longstanding presence, one might perceive it as another investment-focused institution, given its obligation to invest 70% of its funds in housing and finance.

Since the introduction of the MP2 Savings voluntary program several years ago, it has consistently yielded higher dividend rates since 2011. To provide insight into past annual dividend rates, we have compiled a table directly sourced from the Pag-IBIG MP2 website.

  • 2022 - 7.03%
  • 2021 - 6.00%
  • 2020 - 6.12%
  • 2019 - 7.23%
  • 2018 - 7.41%
  • 2017 - 8.11%
  • 2016 - 7.43%
  • 2015 - 5.34%
  • 2014 - 4.69%
  • 2013 - 4.58%
  • 2012 - 4.67%
  • 2011 - 4.63%

The Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings program extends a warm welcome to both active Pag-IBIG Fund Members and former members, as clarified on their FAQ page. This inclusivity means that pensioners or retirees can participate in the Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings program, provided they have an alternative income source for making deposits. Moreover, individuals with at least 24 months' worth of savings before retirement are eligible to join.

The Pag-IBIG MP2 Savings Calculator is crafted to inspire individuals to maximize the benefits of the Pag-IBIG Funds' MP2 Savings program. It provides estimates of total interest earned and potential end balances based on consistent regular deposits and compounding interest. Currently, the calculator can only compute earnings using a fixed estimated rate with regular monthly deposits. Stay tuned for updates as we strive to develop a more comprehensive tool for your investment calculations. We are dedicated to improving this tool and invite valuable comments and feedback to encourage discussion and refinement.
